Daniel: Oh, definitely not love at first sight. We met on January 15, 2020, at her mom’s food shop. I was there to grab a meal, but then I saw her, a hardworking student helping her mom. I thought, “Wow, she’s something special. She wasn’t shy about helping her mom sell meals.”
So, I got her number, but guess what? She stood me up. Yep, the girl ghosted me! I locked up because, you know, I’m a tough guy (or so I like to think). But a few months later, in September, I saw her picture while scrolling through WhatsApp. That’s when I realized I must have been half-blind back then because she looked stunning. I reached out, and since then, it’s been magic.
Titilayo: We met at my mum’s shop. Love at first sight? Hmm, not really. It was more like, “Who’s this guy, and why is he asking for my number?” But over time, we built a connection, and honestly, he grew on me.
What’s the habit or quirk your partner has that always makes you smile?
Daniel: My wife is the queen of social media gist. I call her ‘Aproko International’. If there’s news trending online, celebrity drama, viral tweets, or even random videos, she’s the first to update me. It’s like living with my personal CNN, and honestly, it’s hilarious, but I love it because it’s her.
Titilayo: Where do I start? Daniel’s silly jokes crack me up. He’s also the king of random surprises, like showing up with my favorite snacks or supporting my dreams in ways I never expected. And oh, I love that he’s obsessed with trying new things with me.

Daniel: Love is peace, and peace is what Titilope brings to my life. She taught me how to chill, stay calm, and just enjoy the ride. And she always reminds me that she is always going to be there for me.
Titilayo: Love is all about encouragement and patience. Daniel’s way of hyping me up, supporting me even when I doubt myself, has shown me how powerful love can be.
What’s the most romantic thing your partner has done for you?
Daniel: Some are private! But let me just tell you this, her cooking is top-tier. And sometimes, you know what Davido said about his wife! That quote! She Sabi… and surprises me. I love everything about her.
Titilayo: Daniel goes above and beyond for me. He’s catered to my every need without a single complaint, even when I’m being extra (and trust me, I can be extra). He’s also super supportive of my brand, making sure I succeed in whatever I do.
What are you most excited about as you start this new chapter together?
Daniel: Spending the rest of my life with my best friend, my gist buddy, and my lover. I’m excited about the family we’re going to build and all the adventures ahead.
Titilayo: Building a home filled with love and laughter, starting a family, and creating unforgettable memories together. Also, I’m excited to see how he handles diaper duty, we’ll find out if all that “tough guy” talk holds up!
